JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Gold miner African Barrick Gold (ABG) has scheduled a general meeting for November 26 during which shareholders would consider and potentially approve changing the company’s name to Acacia Mining.
ABG stated that its core objective was to develop a business that was recognised as a leading independent mining company in Africa and that it was important for the company name to reflect this.
