A clean story for a dirty industry

Over the last decade, Australian Pump has been on a constant program of product development for high pressure cleaning equipment to suit the earthmoving industry.  The latest breakthrough for this dynamic and innovative company is the new Extreme series of 500 bar (7,300 psi) hydro-blasters.

These new machines take pressures and flows higher to provide more cleaning “whack” for key projects.

“We found that a lot of cleaning applications of big plant need a combination of pressure and flow to get the job done fast.  The reduction of cleaning times was a big driver”, said Aussie Pump’s Operations Manager Hamish Lorenz.

The Aussie Extreme is powered by Yanmar’s TNV series with an integrated control panel that provides full engine protection including an hour meter, low oil and high water temperature.

THE HEART OF THE SYSTEM

‘Big Berty’ Bertolini RA series 500 bar triplex pumps were chosen because of their heavy-duty configuration and advanced design features.

The whole pump system is driven through with a reduction belt drive for ease and convenience of adjustment and the engine runs at 2,400 rpms.

FRAME DESIGN

The new series ultilise a modular cube design that combines protection from Australia’s unique environment, with the ability to be moved around on site.  Integrated fork truck tine slots enable the machine to be forked and lift eyes to allow it to be slung where appropriate.

A 60 litre stainless steel break tank with low water shutdown and 50 litre fuel tank is also installed. The unit can run continuously for up to 8 hours.

All machines come in Aussie Mine Spec configuration and have an integrated flashing safety beacon, double insulated wiring, dual pole battery isolator and are supplied with a fire extinguisher.

Time is money in cleaning mining equipment so accessories that get the job done fast are important.  Aussie Pumps have a great range of up to 500 bar turbos that can cut cleaning times by as much as half.
