Turnkey manufacturer to supply vertical roller mills to Tanzanian cement plant

Owner-managed engineering company Loesche recently received its first order from cement producer and supplier Tanga Cement Company for the supply of two vertical roller mills for Tanga’s cement plant, in Tanzania.

The order covers the full manufacture and supply of two Loesche vertical roller mills, namely the LM 41.4, which will grind raw cement material at a rate of 200 t/h, with a fineness of 15% R 90 μm, and one LM 19.2 D coal mill with a grinding capacity of 20 t/h, with a fineness of 12% R 90 μm.

Also included in the contract scope is the supply of a rotary star feeder for the raw meal mill and a coal screw feeder for the coal mill.

The delivery of the mill key parts is planned for this month.

Tanga Cement Company is a producer and supplier of cement used in the construction industry and the manufacture of concrete products.

Construction of the Tanga plant started in 1978, with commissioning taking place in July 1980.

Currently, the Tanga Cement Company’s plant’s daily cement production capacity is 3 000 t.

Further, the company has about 15 000 Tanzanian shareholders and trades on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange under its brand name, Simba.
