The company explains that any small change in the opening of an outlet – a rough surface, bends, shallow angles or the shape of a container – as well as the particle shape of the material handled, can retard product flow and cause blockages.
Owing to their characteristics, many powders tend to stick to the surface of silos, hoppers, chutes, piping, tanks or other containers. Designed to solve this challenge caused by design errors or by the characteristics of the powder or granules handled, flow aids also increase process efficiency and improve plant safety.
