Russian tungsten, molybdenum and copper mining created this cavity outside the town of Tuim, in Khakassia, Russia, where a bungee jumper is seen plunging 120 m down the Tuimsky Proval, a deep technogenic intramountain pit on the site where the polymetallic ores were excavated. The five-second, 180 km/h free fall took place in freezing, south-central Siberian weather. Underground explosive activity influenced the collapse of the hilltop, which has been turned into a tourist attraction.
