German group Klüber Lubrication is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of speciality lubricants, offering high-end tribological solutions to virtually all industries and markets worldwide. Most products are developed and made to specific customer requirements.

Klüber Lubrication operates its South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa business from Alrode Multipark, Alberton, in Gauteng.

Klüber Lubrication’s product range encompasses oils, greases, pastes, anti-friction coatings, cleaners, waxes and bonded coatings and features about 2 000 “standard” products and around another 1 000 or so “specials”.

Its global reputation as a premium quality manufacturer is firmly established. The company formulates advanced technology products using primarily synthetics, as well as mineral oils and hybrids. It supplies virtually all industries, including, among others, mining, cement, automotive, railways, glass manufacturing, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, maritime, steel, metalworking, textiles and renewable energy.

With hundreds of original-equipment manufacturer recommendations and tens of thousands of users worldwide, Klüber Lubrication seeks to design lubricants that will meet the needs of not only today, but also tomorrow, whether at the extremes of load, speed, temperature or operating environment.

All Klüber Lubrication technical sales engineers are specifi- cally trained not only in lubricants and lubrication, but also in the scientific tribological approach to the most cost-effective solutions available.

The company’s objective is to provide value-added lubrication solutions across all industries.

Klüber Lubrication was established in 1929 in Munich, Germany, and is today part of Freudenberg Chemical Specialities KG, a business unit of the Freudenberg Group, Weinheim.

The group, which has a yearly turnover of about €600-million, has 14 production plants in Germany and other parts of the world. It employs about 2 000 employees in more than 30 countries.

In South Africa, Klüber Lubrication based its operations in the Alrode Multipark, in 80 JG Strijdom road, Alrode. The company started operations in 1983 and now employs 17 people.

Industrial certifications under Klüber Lubrication’s cap include ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO TS 16949 and OHSAS 18001. Some of its products are certified to ISO 21469 and Halal.
