The National Atomic Company of Kazakhstan (Kazatomprom) has expanded the sales geography in the world nuclear fuel market, with a contract to sell uranium to Brazil.

Kazatomprom said on Wednesday that it had won the bid for the supply of natural uranium concentrates to State-owned nuclear fuel company Indústrias Nucleares do Brasil.

The uranium miner said that the contract was significant in the context of development of Kazakhstan-Brazilian cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy and the search for new markets for its products.

Kazatomprom did not provide any more details about the terms of the contract.
