Established in 1989, East Rand-based J&C Engineering designs, manufactures and installs gas-cleaning and industrial-emissions control equipment, including electrostatic precipitators, bag filters, wet electrostatic precipitators, scrubbers and cyclones.

J&C Engineering recently reached an agreement with German technology supplier BETH to be the sole supplier of its range of gas-cleaning filters to the Southern African market. This range of filters will complement the company’s existing range of filters.

The company boasts a five-star NOSA rating for safety management and is a NOSCAR company. It also complies with the OHSAS 18001 standard for health and safety and has a Level 7ME CIDB rating. J&C Engineering currently holds a Level 4 broad-based black economic-empowerment status and has a staff complement of 50 permanent employees.

The company is active in South Africa and across the sub- Saharan Africa region, and has been contracted to design, fabricate and erect new gas-cleaning equipment as well as retrofit existing equipment locally and in neighbouring countries.

J&C Engineering has a fully equipped workshop and offices near OR Tambo International Airport, in Johannesburg, where it designs, manufactures and tests various emissions-control spares and components.

The company’s premises are at 273 Fleming street, in Meadowdale.
