Name: Boliden Kylylahti mine.

Location: Boliden Kylylahti is located in the historic Outokumpu mining district, in eastern Finland.

Controlling Company: Boliden.

Brief History: The Outokumpu mining district has more than a century of mining history, with three copper/zinc/gold/nickel/ cobalt mines producing from 1914 to 1989. The Kylylahti mine started operations in 2012. Boliden acquired the mine from Altona Mining in October 2014.

Brief Description: Boliden Kylylahti is a small mine with high grades.

Products: Copper/gold/zinc concentrates.

Geology/Mineralisation: The geological conditions are similar to those in the Boliden area, which offers synergies in the fields of exploration, mining and metallurgy.

The Bolliden area currently comprises the Renström, Kristineberg and Kankberg underground mines and the Maurliden and Maurliden Östra openpit mines. All the mines in the area, with the exception of Kankberg, produce complex polymetallic ores that contain zinc, copper, lead, gold and silver

Reserves: Proven resources as at December 31, 2014, were estimated at 400 000 t, grading 0.6 g/t of gold, 1.59% copper and 0.7% zinc. Probable reserves were estimated at 3.5-million tons, grading 1 g/t of gold, 1.58% copper and 0.6% zinc.

Resources: Measured resources as at December 31, 2014, were estimated at 1.2-million tons, grading 0.3 g/t of gold, 0.77% copper, 0.4% zinc, 0.2% nickel and 0.2% cobalt. Indicated resources were estimated at 2.8-million tons, grading 0.6 g/t of gold, 0.53% copper, 0.3% zinc, 0.3% nickel and 0.2% cobalt. Inferred resources were estimated at 500 000 t, grading 1.3 g/t of gold, 1.48% copper, 0.4% zinc, 0.2% nickel and 0.3% cobalt.

Mining Method: Underground.

Major Infrastructure and Equipment: The Boliden Kylylahti mining operation comprises the Kylylahti underground mine, in the municipality of Polvijärvi, and the Luikonlahti processing plant, at Kaavi, a trucking distance of about 43 km from the mine.

The copper/gold/zinc concentrates produced at Luikonlahti are delivered to Boliden's Harjavalta and Kokkola smelters.

Prospects: The mine has exploration rights and copper/nickel deposits in the Outokumpu, Kotalahti and the Kuhmo-Suomussalmi areas.
