The African division of Swiss aviation company ExecuJet Aviation Group is expanding Africa’s managed and charter fleet with the addition of a Cessna Supervan 900, ideal for accessing locations with short, unprepared landing strips, such as mining sites.

“ExecuJet Africa are excited about adding a Cessna Supervan 900 to our fleet. We anticipate it will be in very high demand, not only for mining operations but also for remote sightseeing and safari expeditions,” says ExecuJet Africa director of aviation services Gavin Kiggen.

He notes that the company has exhibited at the Investing in African Mining Indaba for five consecutive years and discussed how ExecuJet supports the mining interests and opportunities within the region. This year, the company showcased its full suite of business aviation services, including aircraft management and helicopter and fixed-wing charter.

He explains that private aviation underpins Africa’s mining sector, as aircraft are often the only means by which to reach isolated and remote locations. The company’s aircraft missions range from transporting mining personnel and cargo to oil pipeline inspections and security surveillance support.

ExecuJet Africa provides access to a range of helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. The helicopter fleet includes the Bell 407, the Bell 230, the Agusta A109 and the Eurocopter EC130 B3 and B4; and the fixed-wing aircraft fleet includes Pilatus PC-12s, the King Air 200, 350 and 1900, Learjet 45s, Jetstream 41s, Bombardier Challenger 300s, the Hawker 4000, the Cessna Citations and Bombardier Global Express aircraft.

Kiggen notes that the company consistently demonstrates the highest level of commitment to aviation safety and quality at its facilities worldwide. ExecuJet Africa’s facilities have maintained International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations certification for many years and the company is the first in Africa to achieve International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling accreditation. ExecuJet Africa is also a Wyvern Wingman member and is the only operator to have received a platinum rating from world-class aviation software and business management solutions provider Argus as a charter operator on the African continent.

The ExecuJet Aviation group offers a diverse range of services, including aircraft management for privately and commercially registered aircraft, aircraft charter, aircraft maintenance, aircraft completions management and fixed-based operations. The group operates in Africa, Asia, Australasia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East and employs over 1 000 experienced staff members.
