Amplats expects 20% increase in FY18 earnings

Platinum miner Anglo American Platinum (Amplats) expects its basic earnings and basic earnings per share (EPS) for the 2018 financial year to be at least 20% – about R302-million or 149c a share – higher than that of the prior financial year.

Basic earnings and EPS for the comparative period were just over R1.5-billion and 741c, respectively.

Amplats will release its results for the full year on February 19, 2019.
