Project delivery and consulting services firm WorleyParsons has been consulting in the global resource and energy sectors, as well as other complex-process industries, since its inception in 1977. With a wealth of expertise and experience in the hydrocarbons, minerals, metals and chemicals, and infrastructure sectors, WorleyParsons is able to provide customers with solutions that encompass all project elements.

The company deploys its skills across all phases of the asset life cycle, from the creation of new assets to services that sustain and enhance operating assets. With this in mind, the company has developed unique business lines to respond to customers’ indivi- dual needs in each project phase, enabling customers to select and deliver their projects and improve their assets for optimal long-term performance and consistent project delivery worldwide.

Over the last year, WorleyParsons has been awarded contracts by Brazilian diversified mining major Vale to provide professional services on the Nacala railway corridor project, in Mozambique; and by diamond producer De Beers to consult on the Venetia diamond mine, in Limpopo. The company is also contracted on various projects for petroleum major Sasol.

With a Level 2 broad-based black economic-empowerment rating and a strong staff complement of about 1 900, WorleyParsons is one of the few employers currently offering engineers the breadth and depth of work across all sectors. The company’s innovative, agile approach makes it an employer of choice for any engineer serious about development.

The ISO 9001-accredited company has a turnover of about R2-billion and an order book value of about R1.8-billion.

WorleyParsons rents office space in 12 cities across South Africa, including Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Bloemfontein, Durban, Kimberley, Polokwane, Port Elizabeth, Secunda, Upington, Rustenburg and Kathu.

WorleyParsons RSA Group comprises two shareholders: WP Employee Share Trust (30%) and WorleyParsons RSA Holdings (70%).
