Worker dies in TauTona fall of ground

JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – JSE-listed AngloGold Ashanti on Monday halted certain operations at its TauTona mine following a fatality.

The Carltonville-based mine was issued a Section 54 notice after a scraper-winch operator was fatally injured in a fall-of-ground incident at about 01:00.
