JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – JSE-listed platinum producer Wesizwe Platinum has elected Dr Iraj Abedian as its chairperson, with immediate effect.

Abedian was appointed for practical reasons, as the company’s current acting chairperson, RG Rainey was currently located in the UK.

Rainey would remain on the board as an independent nonexecutive director.
