JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Sierra Leone-focused mining company Titanium Resources has appointed Jean Lindberg Charles as a nonexecutive director.

The company said on Monday that Charles had financial and auditing experience, as well as an understanding of its operations.

He has previously worked as Titanium Resources financial controller, and was responsible for implementing a new management information system, setting up the Sierra Leone accounts department, and developing the company’s multidredge financial model.

"I would like to welcome Charles to the board and look forward to working with him as we continue the development of Titanium Resources. Charles brings significant additional expertise to the board which will enable us to more effectively respond to the challenges facing the company," said Titanium resources chairperson Walter Kansteiner.
