JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Madagascar-focused StratMin Global Resources, which operates the Loharano project, increased its production of dry-mixed graphite to 130 t in February, compared with the 114 t produced in January.

In the month under review, the company’s beneficiation plant had processed 360 t of wet graphite, compared with 302 t the month before.

“The plant continues to see production grow steadily and, with secure sales contracts in place, the company can build a stable monthly production base. The new milling and screening capacity is now operational and I look forward to updating the market on its developments in the next update,” StratMin MD Manoli Yannaghas told shareholders in a statement on Monday.

Meanwhile, the company sold 150 t of graphite in February, compared with 44 t in January.
