PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Gold miner Silver Lake Resources has reported another quarter of solid production during the period ended September, with the miner producing 34 692 oz of gold.

The performance compares with 38 366 oz produced in the June quarter. Production in the September quarter was affected by lower grades and lower mill recoveries.

The Daisy Complex produced 16 890 oz of contained gold during the quarter, which Silver Lake said demonstrated the mine’s consistent cornerstone contribution. The Maxwells underground mine delivered a further 5 914 oz of gold.

The openpit operations delivered an additional 19 924 oz of gold during the quarter under review, with production sourced nearly entirely from the Majestic pit, which was completed by the end of the quarter, as scheduled.

Gold sales during the quarter reached 34 322 oz, compared with the 37 515 oz sold in the previous quarter.
