JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) - South African contract miner and coal producer Sentula has appointed Patrick Modisane as an executive director and head of transformation and human resources.

Modisane, whose appointment is effective October 1, was filling a newly created management role, CEO Robin Berry said on Wednesday.

"We are pleased to welcome Patrick on to our management team and we intend to implement best practice in human resources and to accelerate our transformation processes in line with our BEE strategy across the group," Berry said in a statement to the JSE.

Prior to joining Sentula, Modisane was regional manager employee relations and transformation at Anglo Coal’s head office.
