PERTH (miningweekly.com) – A second batch of lithium concentrate has been shipped from the Mt Marion lithium project, in Western Australia.

The 16 662 t shipment is on route to offtake partner Ganfeng Lithium’s receiving facility in China, ASX-listed Mineral Resources and project partner Neometals said on Wednesday.

The shipment followed a maiden 15 000 t shipment in February, with the next 18 000 t of concentrate expected to be shipped in early April.

Ganfeng, which has a 13.8% interest in the project through Jiangxi Ganfeng Lithium, has agreed to an offtake of 200 000 t/y of spodumene concentrate of between 4% and 6% lithium-oxide content.
