PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Gold miner Resolute Mining on Tuesday said that operations at its Syama mine, in Mali, have remained unaffected by the recent coup.

Military officers last week overthrew Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, seizing control of the country.

The gold miner told shareholders that the Bamako International Airport has reopened and that the company’s supply lines to the gold mine remained open and secure.

The company said that it would continue to monitor the political situation in Mali, but that currently, there had been no impact to production or to the safety and security of employees and contractors.
