The company sold a 102-ct vivid yellow diamond, cut from a 212-ct rough stone, and two matching 10-ct vivid yellow diamonds, which were cut from a 36-ct rough gem.
The diamonds, which were cut and polished by the Steinmetz Diamond Group, were recovered from Rockwell's Makoenskloof and Wouterspan mines, located in the Middle Orange River area of South Africa.
According to Rockwell, the larger stone reached a 50% premium over the value of the rough diamond, and the two smaller stones returned a combined 80% premium over the value of the uncut 36-ct stone.
The sale of the three stones resulted in additional revenues of approximately $2 million.
