Van Schalkwyk says the warranty further underpins the company’s existing after-sales support, and is another step to ensuring that the company offers true economy of ownership with limited main-tenance, higher uptime and the lowest whole-life cost.
“The 520, 620 and new 720 pump ranges offer flow rates from microlitres through to 4 000 8467/h, as well as a choice of analogue or digital control,” says Van Schalkwyk. He adds that the pumps are available in robust IP66 wash-down cases, and that the pumps also feature LoadSure tube elements for one-minute maintenance.
“Watson-Marlow is the largest manufacturer of tube and hose pumps in the world, with over one-million pumps sold. The company offers a comprehensive range of pumps across a wide band of indus- tries, from mining, brewing and food and beverage, to chemicals, pharmaceuticals, printing, and water and waste,” says Van Schalkwyk.
He adds that the company’s pumps have no valves, seals or glands, and the fluids only make contact with the bore of an elastomeric hose or tube. “Because they are simple to install, easy to operate, and quick to maintain, they are the world’s fastest-growing pump type, for flows from microlitres to 80 cm/h and pressures up to 16 bar.”
Van Schalkwyk says unique features of the Watson-Marlow computerised peristaltic pump sizing programme are “brains” and “wise”, which accurately specify pump and pipe sizes, layout, speeds, hose material and all factors necessary to heighten the efficiency of each installation.
