Renttech South Africa has built a solid reputation on the rental and sales of a vast range of welding, power generation, lifting and rigging, as well as construction-related equipment and solutions. The company has significantly increased their operational footprint in recent years, and is looking forward to showcasing its growing capabilities in the industrial market at this year’s Electra Mining show.

Electra Mining is regarded as one of the most prestigious global trade shows, providing companies with a platform to exhibit the latest products and services available, as well as to engage with users and suppliers from all across Africa. This is an opportunity not to be missed for those wanting to see all of the latest products and services offered by the leading companies in Africa, all gathered in one venue. “To be a participant at this show gives the company a significant advantage as our products and services will be on show not only for customers to see, but also to experience. We will once again be showcasing our world-class products and services; and we have an added surprise for new and existing customers,” says Martiens Opperman, Operations Manager at Renttech South Africa. Renttech South Africa will be making use of a specially designed mobile unit to conduct welding demonstrations at Electra Mining. The company will be sharing their stand with principal partner Lincoln Electric, and looks forward to demonstrating a number of new and innovative products available for existing and upcoming projects throughout Africa.

The company supplies a number of sectors, including mining, petrochemical, power generation, construction and civils, fabrication/manufacturing, pulp and paper, offshore oil and gas, shipbuilding and marine maintenance, as well as road and rail equipment fabrication and maintenance. With the largest fleet of rental welding equipment in South Africa, as well as a national footprint of 22 branches, Renttech is well-positioned to service major projects and end users with all their rental and sales requirements. Renttech has also recently attained its ISO 9001: 2008 certification for quality management systems, as well as ISO 18 001: 2007 for health and safety management systems.

Further boosting their presence and capability to deliver certified quality products and solutions, Renttech was chosen by the Harris Products Group to distribute their Harris and Metalworker product range in September 2012. The Harris Products Group, with an extensive global presence and a strong emphasis on quality and safety, is wholly-owned by Lincoln Electric of which Renttech is the largest distributor in Southern Africa. “The Harris range has a flawless reputation in the industry when it comes to quality. This year at Electra Mining we will be showcasing our Harris Metal Worker range, which includes regulators, flashback arrestors and cutting torches, as well as our gas saver regulators which are available in the standard 3/8” fitting and exclusive to Renttech,” says Opperman. Renttech has recently acquired the TBi agency, giving the company access to superior GMAW-, FCAW- and GTAW torch systems. “This is in line with our strategy to constantly add affordable and quality products to our offering of a tailored, packaged solution which is focused on addressing our  customers’ specific needs. The TBi range offers users some serious benefits and features, which is essential in such a competitive industry where longevity and durability provide the edge over the competition. TBi offers not only good pricing, but also exceptional quality,” says Opperman. Also on display will be Slogging spanners and the new ‘Safe Wrench’, which is already popular in the industry and a winner with all involved in safety on site, according to Opperman.  Another product line that the company predicts will be ‘a hit’ with customers on both performance and safety is the new range of Amenabar chain blocks, which have a 6:1 safety factor, overload protection and a three year warranty.

“Generators are a core product line in the mining industry and we will have the new, competitively-priced range of high-quality generator sets powered by Kubota/Newage Stamford power packs on display. We will also have the extra heavy-duty ‘R spec’ generator sets powered by a Perkins/Stamford power pack which have a five year rust warranty,” Opperman adds. The company’s range of diesel welders has always been one of their top selling products. The ever-popular Lincoln Electric range of diesel welders and the new Uniarc range of pipeline welders, including the new extra heavy-duty Uni Pipeline diesel welding concept, will be exhibited at the company’s  outdoor display area.

“The current consumer trend in our market is very price-orientated. The Renttech product range on offer not only provides customers with good pricing options, but also exceptional quality,” says Opperman. “Thanks to our mobile welding container, delegates at Electra Mining can look forward to seeing, feeling and experiencing for themselves the many product solutions we have on offer.”
