VANCOUVER (miningweekly.com) – Gold explorer Osisko Mining has reported more high-grade intercepts at its show-stopping Windfall Lake property, in Urban Township, Quebec, this time hitting 301 g/t gold over 6.2 m at the Lynx zone.

The intercept was made in drill hole OSK-W-17-909, which forms part of an ongoing 800 000 m drill campaign that combines definition, expansion and exploration drilling in and around the main Windfall gold deposit and the adjoining Lynx deposit, located immediately north-east of Windfall.

Other highlight intersections from 44 intercepts in 30 holes included 79.4 g/t gold over 2.6 m in hole OSK-W-17-928; and 19 g/t gold over 6.8 m in OSK-W-17-1111.

The magnitude of the intercepts become apparent considering that one ounce of gold weighs 28.35 g.

Osisko plans to build the mill at Lebel-sur-Quevillon, located about 100 km from Windfall Lake, to reduce permitting timelines and remove the power line and camp costs.
