VANCOUVER (miningweekly.com) – Gold explorer Osisko Mining has reported more high-grade intercepts at its show-stopping Windfall Lake property, in Urban Township, Quebec.

The Toronto-based miner, whose legacy projects include the massive Canadian Malartic mine, on Tuesday reported that hole OSK-W-17-906 – part of an ongoing 800 000 m drill campaign that combines definition, expansion and exploration drilling in and around the main Windfall gold deposit and the adjoining Lynx deposit, located immediately northeast of Windfall – had intersected 27 g/t gold over 2.7 m from the Lynx hanging wall.

The hole also intersected 4.25 g/t gold over 2.5 m on the hanging wall and 5.05 g/t gold over 4 m related to the Lynx foot wall.

Other highlights from the same programme include 11.6 g/t gold over 4.4 m in hole OSK-W-17-1039; 13 g/t gold over 3.6 m in hole OSK-W-17-1102; 23.4 g/t gold over 2 m in hole OSK-W-17-918; and 22 g/t gold over 2 m in hole OSK-W-17-958.

Osisko plans to build the mill at Lebel-sur-Quevillon, located about 100 km from Windfall Lake, to reduce permitting timelines and remove the power line and camp costs.
