JOHANNESBURG ( – An employee was killed in a fall-of-ground incident at AngloGold Ashanti’s Mponeng mine on Wednesday.

A further two employees were injured and admitted to hospital.

AngloGold notified the Department of Mineral Resources, which has stopped development activities at the mine. Other operations at the mine continued.
