Supplier of multipurpose machines Bobcat Equipment South Africa has launched its latest generation of telescopic handlers and M-Series skid- steer loaders that can be used for various mining applications.
“The Bobcat M-Series loaders feature many improvements, such as more powerful hydraulics, upgraded digging and pushing power, an increased rollback angle and greater fuel capacity for better endurance and productivity,” states Bobcat South Africa director Eugene Brown.
The loaders also offer large and comfortable cabs, while their new lighting system’s high-intensity beams improve all-round visi- bility by 50%. Larger rear and top windows further enhance visibility, with the heavy equipment machine’s ‘cab forward’ design allowing the operator to be positioned closer to the job. Brown adds that new engine-mounting solutions reduce sound and vibration levels by up to 60% when compared with previous Bobcat loaders.
The enclosed steel undercarriage of Bobcat’s roller suspension system on the M-Series compact tracked loader is permanently sealed and has fewer moving parts, thereby reducing maintenance costs.
“Factory-lubricated and -sealed forged-steel rollers and idlers that require no routine maintenance are standard on these machines,” confirms Brown.
The new range of telescopic handlers offers good performance in terms of engine power and hydraulic pump capacities. A selection of attachments is available for this range, offering the flexibility to perform more than one task with one machine. The handlers also include high-performance and fuel-efficient engines, combined with refined and powerful, smooth hydraulic systems.
“The patented cab structure with a high-resistance full-glass enclosure and 360º visibility uses a five-pillar design, which leaves the right rear corner of the cab free from obstruction, while maintaining maximum protection,” explains Brown.
Bobcat says its new M-Series loader and the telescopic handler range will have a positive impact on the compact equipment industry and that its market share is set to increase in the future as a result.
