JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Minerals processing and project management company MDM Engineering has been awarded the contract to undertake a prefeasibility study (PFS) at Australian mineral exploration company Mantra Resources’ Mkuju River project, in Tanzania.

MDM would manage the inputs from a number of consultants and from the owner’s team to compile the PFS for the uranium project.

It would also undertake the design of the process plant and other infrastructure, as well as provide the capital and operating costs estimates for these.

“Following the successful completion of the Mkuju River project scoping study for Mantra, MDM is pleased to continue its relationship with Mantra through the award of the FPS for this project. We have enjoyed a close working relationship with Mantra and look forward to our successful partnership continuing,” MDM executive director George Bennett said in a statement.
