Maximus completes Burbanks buy
PERTH (miningweekly.com) – Junior Maximus Resources has completed the acquisition of the Burbanks gold processing facility, in Western Australia, which would provide the company with a near-term revenue opportunity.
The Burbanks plant will allow Maximus to process third party ore feed on a toll treatment arrangement, generating a revenue stream, while the company progresses its Spargoville gold project.
Maximus said on Thursday that it was progressing discussions with several parties who potentially required gold treatment options, and added that the company should be able to provide toll milling services from late 2016, following refurbishments and recommissioning of the Burbanks facility.
The Burbanks processing facility, which was acquired from gold miner Ramelius Resources for A$2.5-million earlier this year, includes a two-stage crushing, ball milling and carbon-in-pulp circuit of a nominal 180 000 t/y capacity.
The facility has been on care and maintenance since late 2014 and will require refurbishment prior to recommissioning.
