Materials handling company appoints dealer to meet product demand
Australia-based Samson Material Handling (SMH) reports that it has appointed ScreenMasters Australia to distribute its mobile handling equipment for the Australian market.
SMH explains that it appointed ScreenMasters as it needed a representative in the geographically vast territory. “Its strong culture in local surface mining and relationships with mining customers were the reasons for the decision,” the company notes.
The demand for local specialist support and robust parts and aftermarket support on a 24-hour, seven-days-a-week basis, was a challenge for SMH, but it believes that these demands will now be met through the deal, says the com- pany.
Established in 1995, ScreenMasters Australia is the dealer for some of the world’s largest manufacturers of track-mounted crushing and screening equipment. This includes the Stormajor boom feeder, the Link conveyor and the Telescopic conveyor, which works together with the Samson material feeder.
ScreenMasters’ head office is located in Bathurst, New South Wales. The Queensland office is located in Ormeau and the newly completed Sydney ware- house is situated in Wetherill Park.
Since the signing of the distributor agreement, SMH and ScreenMasters have collaborated closely on the development and specifications of market specific standard products, the first two of which are now on order.
SMH standard products will be available on both ScreenMasters and the complete SMH sales network world- wide.
Both units, a Telescopic conveyor TC1030 and a Stormajor boom feeder BF0415T, are the first of their kind and now in production in the UK. The units will be delivered towards the end of the third quarter of 2013 and become the basis of the full launch of the SMH’s standard product range through ScreenMasters into Australia’s demanding market.
