Toronto-listed mining and exploration company Diamond Fields International (DFI) completed its sampling programme of the Henry Town shear zone, in Liberia, which showed the existence of near continuous anomalous gold mineralisation, the company said on Friday.

A total of 1 370 samples were tested, and 100 samples returned gold values of 0,1 g/t or more. The highest recorded value returned by the soil samples was 15,06 g/t.

DFI is aggressively exploring the Henry Town anomalies by extending the current sample grid to determine the limits of the gold mineralisation of both the Henry Town and Guyama shear zones, as well as undertaking a channel sampling programme over the known extents of the gold mineralisation to define drill targets.

Drilling on the current anomalies is scheduled for the beginning of 2008.

The company is involved in marine diamond mining in Namibia, as well as exploration projects involving zinc and copper in Zambia, nickel in Madagascar, and diamonds and gold in Liberia.
