JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – TSX- and Aim-listed Mano River Resources has appointed Kirill Zimin to its board of directors.
Zimin has been elected to the board as a representative of vertically integrated metals and mining company Severstal Resources, following the completion of a strategic investment deal.
Zimin joined Severstal Resources in 2006 and is senior manager for strategy and corporate development. In this capacity, he is also head of business development for Africa.
“This appointment not only strengthens the Mano board, but also our relationship with Severstal in taking forward the company’s joint objectives. We have an excellent relationship with the Severstal team and we look forward to expanding on this in the future,” said Mano president and CEO Luis da Silva.
“This appointment is an endorsement of the company’s strategy as we seek to grow, especially in light of the amalgamation with African Aura Resources.”
