Global mining and research company SNL Metals & Mining and business events organizing company AME Trade will be host the Mining on Top: Africa – London Summit, from June 24 to 26 The conference's theme will be 'Connecting nations, investors and industry to drive economic and social development in Africa through mining'.

"Africa is destined to play a strategic role as a world mineral supplier; however, although the continent possesses mineral resources, instability of the economy, infrastructure and politics are still a challenge that negatively influences investment in the sector," says SNL Metals & Mining media liaison officer Christina Twomey.

Owing to this, she adds, the summit aims to address these challenges and provide delegates with insight on possible partnerships that deal with the challenges faced. Key leaders, such as government officials and senior mining executives, as well as investors and services providers, will be in attendance during the summit and will provide insight into the sector.

The summit will also provide an update on the latest contracts and projects for investment, presented by mining companies, while finance organisations will provide information on investment in the African market.

Moreover, the summit will provide an opportunity for delegates to gain insight and get updates and different views on the challenges associated with current developments in regional and global mining markets.

This, in turn, will assist in pinpointing strategic investment vehicles and mechanisms for managing mining operations in Africa. Also, the role of national, regional and international financial institutions and capital markets in the financing of investment projects in Africa will be assessed.

As a result of this, delegates will also be able to upgrade their business intelligence through extensive knowledge of the most important contracts and projects in Africa.

Delegates will have the chance to meet industry leaders and key stakeholders during the interactive networking events throughout the summit.
