Pumps manufacturer Verder Pumps South Africa (VPSA) has experienced an average year-on-year growth of 34,5% over the past nine years.

Verder marketing manager Laetitia Möller points out that the company focuses on understanding the industry and the challenges that customers face to provide them with long-term pumping solutions.

“We are dedicated to delivering continuous improvements through innovative pumping solutions, customer service excellence and going the extra mile,” say Möller.

This has enabled Verder to secure a substantial share of the South African positive displacement pumps market across all its product lines, she says.

Verder Pumps was founded in December 2002 after Andre Venter and Diaan Louw saw a gap in the market for peristaltic hose pumps.

Verder, which celebrates its tenth anniversary in December, started with only peristaltic pumps and has grown over the years to include the Verderflex peristaltic pump range, the Verdemag magnetic drive pump range, the Verderair double diaphragm air-operated pump range and the HUS screw channel pump range.

In the long term, Verder is considering expanding its current product offering into new markets in South Africa and has put strategic plans in place to pursue the market in Africa, as Möller claims there is a vast demand for its products in the mining industry.
