British company Worldwide Recruitment Solutions, specialist recruiters for the global Oil & Gas, Marine, Mining and Power sectors, have appointed a Finance Director to help direct the business as they plan to pass the £30m turnover mark in 2014. Matt Wells, who was identified by Rowan Finance recruitment specialists, is a chartered accountant with experience globally, particularly focusing on the Energy and Oil & Gas industries. Matthew has previously worked for KPMG and, following this role, Viking SeaTech.

Matt Wells comments, “I’ve been working in Finance since 2000 and have worked in Singapore, Australia and elsewhere around the world. I’m eager now to help WRS through their growth plans – I’ve been following the company for a while and with the opening of a new office in Kurdistan and WRS’ best sales year to date, it will be fantastic challenge for me.”

Matt’s experience in global planning and strategic development will be invaluable to WRS as they negotiate new markets and experience rapid organic growth. Mark Brown, Managing Director of WRS, comments, “We’re thrilled to welcome Matt on board. We’re growing quickly, winning awards for our service and rapid expansion, so it’s important now that we have someone with the experience to run the financial side of the business, from planning right through to execution.”
