Company Announcement - After 14 years at JKTech, Dr Dan Alexander is stepping down as CEO at the end of 2014 to commence a role within Anglo American as Head of Open Forum based in London. Dr Alexander has a long history with JKTech, the technology transfer company for the Sustainable Minerals Institute at The University of Queensland. He initially started work within JKTech in 2000 and built a thriving flotation consulting business. He then became Operations Manager in 2005 responsible for all consulting and laboratory service before becoming CEO in 2010.

“Dan’s contribution has been substantial and far reaching and he has steered JKTech through some of the toughest times the mining industry has ever seen. Dan is well known in the global marketplace and this has held the company in good stead. We look forward to continuing our working relationship with Dan and wish him every success in his new role,” said Dr Barry Kelly, Chairman of the JKTech Board. “I am sad to be leaving such a wonderful company, but this is not goodbye. I will always remain a strategic partner with JKTech and will continue to follow the company closely. The organisation is now playing such a vital role in transforming the mining industry and I’m excited to see where it goes to next,” said Dr Alexander.
Brett Cunningham, General Manager of JKTech’s Technology and Knowledge Transfer team, will step into the role of Acting CEO.
