TORONTO (miningweekly.com) – Toronto-based Lake Shore Gold has appointed Ignacio Bustamante to its board of directors, the firm announced on Friday.
Bustamante is the COO of precious-metals producer Hochschild Mining, and will add industry experience to the company's board, said Lake Shore chairperson Alan Moon.
“In addition to his operating background, he has worked directly in such areas as health and safety, environment, community relations, business development, finance, information technology and cost and financial accounting,” Moon added.
Lake Shore plans to start producing the first gold this year from its flagship Timmins project, in Ontario.
