Group Line Projects, an industrial linings solutions provider, was founded in 1991 and acquired in 2012 by Wonderstone, which is part of the larger Assore Group, whose origins date back to the early 1900s.

Group Line Projects’ core business is focused on the appropriate specification, selection and installation of lining products used to solve a variety of materials handling flow and wear problems. This is done by minimising wear, eliminating flow, degradation and segregation problems – all designed to reduce the cost per ton in bulk materials handling installations.

Major lining projects undertaken by Group Line Projects this year include: Medupi power station, Moatize coal mine, the Grootegeluk expansion project, the Khumani Whims and expansion projects and various maintenance contracts for State-owned power utility Eskom.

Group Line Projects is both ISO 9001- and ISO 14001-accredited. It has a staff complement of 48 permanent employees, which is augmented by contract labour, and it has an excellent safety record. The company has large workshop facilities in Spartan, Kempton Park but also performs a significant amount of work on site.

Group Line Projects’ black economic-empowerment certificate is currently rated at Level 4.
