US-headquartered General Kinematics (GK) is a manufacturer of vibrating equipment for the processing of bulk materials. GK is well known for its customer service, with a full field service department and after-hours component parts specialists to handle enquiries quickly and accurately.

GK equipment is suited for challenging applications such as high-production tonnage and increased screening abilities.

The STM-SCREEN™ Vibratory Screen uses GK’s two-mass, natural frequency drive design, which is load-responsive and capable of handling longer material retention times. Dual in-board vibratory motors eliminate expensive belts, shafts and bearings for increased uptime, longer service intervals and the lowest cost of ownership available in a vibratory screen package.

Other unique equipment includes GK’s VIBRA-DRUM® Grinding Mills, which achieve energy savings of between 35% and 50% thanks to a unique rotational material motion that is more efficient than conventional ball or rotary grinding mills. VIBRA-DRUM® units are also ideal for continuous processing of “difficult-to- fluidise” products, such as large flake and stringy or tacky materials. Typical applications include direct gas contract heating, drying, cooling and coating.

GK believes that one of the best ways for a client to justify investing in new equipment is to know that the equipment is going to do the job before it is bought. GK maintains a full inventory of vibratory technology designed to qualify materials prior to capital investment purchases.

For special machines or applications, GK’s engineers work with a client to custom-design the unit. When approved, these designs move to the manufacturing department and are produced to the client’s requirements. Equipment is tested prior to shipment and the company’s field service department is available to assist with installations worldwide.

Established in 1960, GK’s headquarters are in Illinois, in the US, and it has offices in Germany, the UK, China, Thailand and India. However, the company, which employs 175 people, has global coverage, with representatives in most countries.
