PERTH (miningweekly.com) – The first uranium shipments from the Four Mile project, in South Australia, have been delayed by a month until at least mid-September owing to limited availability of maritime transport.

The Four Mile project was officially opened in June this year, after commissioning started in March. To date, the mine has produced a total of 559 691 lb of uranium oxide concentrate.

The mine was expected to deliver 239 000 lb and 234 000 lb over July and August respectively.

ASX-listed Alliance Resources was currently hunting for a buyer for its 25% stake in the Four Mile project, which it shares with development partner Quasar Resources.
