Engineering News is a weekly print magazine that’s published every Friday. It’s read by over fifty thousand people each week.  The magazine is distributed to the business premises of our subscribers, and can also be found at retail outlets. It’s also distributed at business lounges in airports in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Nigeria.

The Engineering News cover story provides an in-depth analysis of a major issue effecting the business environment, such as technological, regulatory or sector-specific developments.  Advertisers can secure a corner position on the front cover page of Engineering News.  This front-cover corner is usually used by advertisers to reference the page number of a relevant news article, or advert, deeper in the magazine, which contains more detailed information about the advertiser’s product and service offerings.

It’s also possible for advertisers to book a wraparound. A wraparound places branding and a marketing message on a wrap that goes all the way round the Engineering News magazine and can be folded in place to open on specific pages.  Similarly, advertisers can place large or small inserts or brochures into the Engineering News magazine to secure a much wider distribution of their information.

Prominent advertising positions are available on the inside and back cover pages of the Engineering News Magazine, as well as on the pre-index pages.

After the index pages, Engineering News publishes a specially-selected ‘picture of the week’ alongside its weekly cartoon and editorial commentary written by Editor Terence Creamer.

The News & Insight section of the magazine presents the most important news stories of the week, including photographs and graphics.  Adverts of various sizes can be published in this section, including full-page, half-page and one-sixth of a page adverts.  Companies can also choose to publish Corporate Profiles. These are dedicated single- or multi-page advertorials providing in-depth coverage of a company’s capabilities.  Additional copies or run-ons of Corporate Profiles can also be arranged.

The Projects in Progress section provides detailed updates on industrial and infrastructure projects taking place in South Africa, the rest of Africa and around the world. Details such as project location, value, latest developments and contact information are provided. Advertisers can secure positions on the Projects in Progress pages to maximise exposure to those interested in reading about developments in the projects economy.

Each week Engineering News publishes two or three Features. Features provide in-depth reporting about the latest news taking place in specific industrial sectors or regarding important events or strategic partnerships.  Features on specific topics provide advertisers with targeted marketing opportunities and a powerful forum for contextual advertising.  There is no better way for advertisers to speak directly to their target market.  A full schedule of upcoming features for the next 12 months is available on request if you email advertising@creamermedia.co.za

The Features section also offers advertisers the possibility of a full-page Company Profile. This offers a unique advertising opportunity as a Company Profile follows a set format including pictures, a brief write-up and an advert showcasing details about a company.  Advertisers can also book very prominent, top-of-page Logo Sponsorships where a company logo is published at the top of several pages in a specific Feature.

Opinion, analysis and a touch of humour are all on offer by a range of columnists on the Engineering News Opinion and Analysis pages each week.

The ‘People in Camera’ pages offer a handy place to look at pictures and read about company announcements, achievements and recent new appointments.

Each week a prominent Business Leader is featured on the last page of the Engineering News magazine.  Business leaders provide an insight into their professional and personal achievements, as well as their management style and their hopes for the future.
