JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Africa-focused gold producer Endeavour Mining has, at its own request, been removed from the official list of the ASX, but will remain listed on the TSX.

CEO Neil Woodyer explained that the company delisted from the ASX to reduce its administrative, compliance and legal expenses, which could no longer be justified given the low levels of trading on the stock exchange relative to its listing on the TSX.

“We are starting 2016 with a continued focus on corporate efficiency. We are also relocating our investor relations and administrative office from Vancouver to Paris,” he noted.

Vincent Benoit, who joined Endeavour Mining in November, following the transaction with natural resource investment vehicle La Mancha, would head up the company’s investor relations programme from Paris.

Benoit had over 25 years of corporate finance and investor relations experience and is a registered chartered accountant.
