Edenville Energy, which is developing a coal project in south-west Tanzania, has submitted the required documentation to Tanzania Electricity Supply Company (Tanesco) in relation to the utility’s request for qualification (RfQ) for coal-fired power generation projects in Tanzania.

The submission and opening of the documents took place in front of other bidders at the utility’s headquarters in Dar es Salaam on Friday, with Aim-listed Edenville’s documents officially accepted as complete and complying with Tanesco’s requirements.

This formal process is the initial stage in the selection of projects to provide power to the Tanzanian electricity grid.

Tanesco will review the submissions and select a shortlist of participants to move to the next round.
