JOHANNESBURG (miningweekly.com) – Impala Platinum (Implats) on Friday announced the resignation of group operations executive Paul Dunne with immediate effect.

Dunne, who joined Implats in 1987, was appointed GM of mineral
processes in 2000, after which, in 2009, he was promoted to group executive of operations.

In 2010, he was appointed as an executive director of the board.

In this role, Dunne’s responsibilities encompassed the South African mining and processing operations, which saw him most recently being involved in the labour verification processes at Implats’ South African operations.

Implats said in a statement that it was currently engaged in a process to finalise the appointment of a new head of operations for Rustenburg and would make an announcement in due course.
