Deebar
What are then key products & services that your company is exhibiting at Electra Mining?
Our key products that we are displaying are our Mine Shaft Communication System, our D-Matrix Shaft Monitoring System and our unique Bulk Material Handling System. What is its application? The Mine Shaft Signalling System is used to communicate from surface to underground by means of a set sequence of rings, the entire system is monitored by means of a P.C. / PLC, this information is reordered and can be used in case of an emergency. What makes the product unique? The product is unique because it used in deep level mines where surface and underground need to communicate with one another in order to operate the winder. Where was the product developed? All Deebar products have been developed in our R & D Department at our Johannesburg Head Office. The D-Matrix system is manufactured at our works in Germiston. On which projects, if any, has the product been used successfully? We have supplied our Monitoring System to the entire Anglo Platinum Group; we are in the process of installing the D-Matrix Monitoring System to Northam Platinum. Our Belltronic Signalling System is being used by 90% of the South African Mining Industry from Anglo, Northam, Lonmin, Goldfields to name a few. Is the product exportable? Certainly the product is exportable; we have exported to several African countries as well as Australia, Russia and Canada. Background on the company marketing the product? Deebar have marketed our products for the last 32 years. We feel that the only way to market the product successfully is to be at the coal front, so we employ a number of sales people to cover the mining industries. Is there anything else you would like to add? We would like to thank the South African Mining houses for their support over the past 32 years. No comments yet
