Construction and engineering group Murray & Roberts (M&R) Cementation has achieved broad-based black economic empower- ment (BBBEE) Level 5 status, following an audit by an independent verification body.

The company is also work- ing towards meeting the requirements of the Mining Charter.

“M&R Cementation cur- rently has a 38.43% black ownership, which is above the Mining Charter’s thresh- old. The company has also scored particularly high in the arena of preferential procurement, with a current year-to-date spend of 74.35%,” says business development executive Allan Widlake.

M&R Cementation provides capabilities and services encompassing the full spec- trum of the mining value chain, including mining engineering, mine develop- ment, contract mining and other mining services.
