Clyde Bergemann Power Group is a global enterprise that provides innovative products and services for energy-related industries. The group’s head office, spearheaded by president and CEO Franz Bartels, is in Wesel, Germany.

For energy plants and related combustion, the company provides its customers with mission-critical products and solutions for higher efficiency and a cleaner environment.

The bases for its leading market position are years of experience and extensive references, as well as a global presence, with own companies in Europe, North and South America, Asia, Australia and Africa. Clyde Bergemann Africa (CBZ) serves the sub-Saharan Africa market and is located on a 4 038 m2 site at 4 Industrial road, Kya Sands, near Randburg, in Gauteng.

Clyde Bergemann Group was established in 1996, when Bergemann Group (Germany) and Clyde Blowers (Scotland) merged into one company.

In its current form, Clyde Bergemann Power Group was established in 2001, while expanding its product portfolio into new business fields. The re-establishment of CBZ was also effected in 2001, although the company has been represented in South Africa in various configurations since 1979.

CBZ had a yearly turnover of about R300-million in February. The company is 20% black-owned, with a 30% local share- holding. Through the Medupi and Kusile fly ash handling orders, CBZ’s order book is strong.
The company is ISO 9001:2008-certified and employs over 200 staff, including contract staff.

CBZ is committed to engaging with its customers to find the best and most cost-effective solutions for their needs. Its aftermarket department is geared towards providing 24/7 efficient, timeous and cost-effective maintenance and spares of all its (and similar) systems and products.
