TORONTO (miningweekly.com) – The British Columbia Ministry of Energy and Mines has issued TSX-V-listed Canadian Mining with a new five-year 50 000 t/y quarry permit for its Bromley Creek zeolite mine lease, near Princeton.

President and CEO Ray Paquette reported that the company had increased the reclamation security and completed an archaeological preliminary field reconnaissance report, and an archaeological chance find procedure document as required by the Ministry of Energy and Mines.

Zeolite belonged to a group of minerals commonly used as commercial adsorbents and catalysts.

The company had prepared a new staging area and had stockpiled existing inventory that would be used for customer pick-up and delivery. Additional zeolite would be moved from the quarry to the staging area as required.

"Zeolite is a natural nonmetallic volcanic mineral that exhibits diverse applicable properties for use in products and technologies that contribute to green environmental protection,” Paquette said.

Canadian Mining was focused on supplying large volume zeolite demands for cleaner air, cleaner water and better growing mediums.
