TORONTO (miningweekly.com) – TSX-listed Breakwater Resources confirmed on Friday that hourly employees at its Myra Falls mine, in British Columbia, had voted to ratify the tentative labour agreement reached earlier in the week with management.
The vote was 83% in favour of the deal.
On Monday, Breakwater also said that it expects repairs to areas affected by a fire last week at Myra Falls will take about ten days.
A fire occurred on November 4 in the electrical switchgear for the production hoist, damaging the switch gear and rendering the production hoist unusable.
Besides Myra Falls, Breakwater also produces zinc and copper concentrate from the El Mochito mine in Honduras and the El Toqui mine in Chile.
Its Langlois mine in Quebec is on temporary care-and-maintenance.
