Boart Longyear www.BoartLongyear.com, the world’s leading provider of integrated drilling services, equipment and performance tooling, will be the major sponsor of the Australian Drilling Industry Association’s DRILL 2014 conference on August 19 and 20 at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre in Gold Coast, Queensland. Held every two years, DRILL is Australia’s only national drilling conference.
“The drilling industry has increased its focus on efficiency and productivity. However, historically the industry has been cautious when adapting to new technologies and methods,” said Kent Hoots, Senior Vice President of Boart Longyear's Products division. “As the major sponsor of ADIA’s DRILL 2014, our goal is to bring innovation to the forefront and challenge others to do so as well.” Hoots is a featured speaker at DRILL 2014 with his presentation, “Utilizing Innovation to Drive Productivity On-Site.” Also, as the major sponsor Boart Longyear will greet trade show visitors front and center on the exhibition floor.
Boart Longyear will be showcasing a variety of new and recently released performance tooling and drilling equipment, including but not limited to:
- LM™110 underground diamond coring rig
- Drill Control Interface (DCi™)
- TruCore ™ core orientation tool
- BLH™ DTH Hammers
- Quick Descent™ Roller Latch™
As Australia’s only drilling conference, ADIA’s DRILL 2014 features key decision makers from multiple drilling sectors. These sectors include groundwater, minerals exploration, geotechnical/environmental, horizontal directional drilling and coal seam gas.
